About Allison
I started as a peer tutor in 1996 during my junior year of high school at Brooklyn Technical. I continued tutoring while in college at the University of Pennsylvania. I love it when my students have “aha moments”.
I have a Bachelor's in Anthropology and a Master of Science in Education. During my tenure as a STEM Afterschool Teacher, I taught Drone Operations, Typing, Chess, and LEGO Robotics.
I teach the foundation and fundamentals of topics while reinforcing practice, research, and worldly applications. I coach in academics and life.

I use visuals, manipulatives and AI to convey the material. I teach students how to prompt effectively with AI so that they can self-support. I enforce consistent practice to gain fluency in learning. I use hacks to help students who are challenged by material. I use positive affirmations to motivate and encourage learners.
