About Stephen
As a marine biologist and comparative physiologist, I’ve spent decades studying how animals adapt to extreme environments. I bring that same curiosity and enthusiasm into my teaching—helping students explore biology through evidence, creativity, and a genuine appreciation for how life works.

My lessons are interactive, concept-driven, and tailored to each student’s learning style. With over two decades of teaching and research experience, I focus on connecting complex biological principles to real-world examples, helping students build confidence, critical-thinking skills, and a deep understanding of life sciences. Moreover, drawing from years of university teaching and field research in marine mammal physiology, I emphasize how biology connects across scales—from molecules to ecosystems. Lessons combine discussion, visuals, and applied examples to make challenging topics engaging and memorable while improving analytical and writing skills.
