About Anne Marie

After several years of retirement from research chemistry, I returned to work managing the chemistry labs at a local community college. One of my responsibilities was supervising and mentoring work-study students. My last student was accepted into the chemistry program at Baylor and granted a scholarship based on my recommendation. Outside of the chemistry arena, I am certified as a Master Gardener. I work with a children’s garden program that emphasizes the science of gardening.

About the lesson

I have a very hands on approach to learning. As a tutor my goal is to teach students how to think about the subject rather than simply memorize material. I work on the flexibility to approach a problem from more than one perspective.
