About Angela
I , Angela D. Johnson, I have a passion for reading, writing, and language skills. Having taught in the Houston Independent School District (H.I.S.D.) for twenty-nine years gives me a wealth of knowledge to share with students. My successes includes the honor of acquiring the Teacher Incentive Award in the 2006 for student improved test scores in language and reading comprehension. Because I wanted to see students succeed, I co-sponsored Operation Star an organization sponsored by the William Towers to take tours of colleges and universities in Texas.
Education opened doors for me and I want to continue to be a part opening doors for others. Tutoring is indeed one way. I look forward to helping those who seek it.

I have a background in utilizing structures in a reading lab setting to diagnose reading strengths and weaknesses. The weaknesses are the basis in which lesson plans are created. Students are guided through pre-tests, lessons, and post-tests processes. Charts are used to measure progress. 80% mastery determines progression to the next level.
