Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, Ontario. Secondary math teacher for many years (gr 9 - 12). Department head of mathematics. Early adopter of technology as a learning tool. Have also taught grade 7 and 8 math, physics, and computer science.

About the lesson

As a teacher, I learned very quickly - it is our job to teach. If the student doesn't understand, we have to teach it differently until the learning happens. The only silly question is the one that wasn't asked! If students feel comfortable in your class, they ask more questions and the teacher knows where to spend more time, or when to move on.

Perfect! John tutored my son in math to assist him in re-writing a trade entrance exam. My son's mark increased almost 20% after his sessions with John. He was able to explain math concepts in layman's terms while using different methods. I would highly recommend John.
