About Berni
I employ visual techniques and any on line apps that augment the learning experience. I draw from the student’s life experiences and work needs in developing oral speaking skills. I enter the teaching of grammar naturally if that is a requirement of the student. I try to teach in a no stress environment.

I am a retired elementary school teacher with a permanent Teacher’s Certificate. I also have a masters degree in social work and worked for 20 years in the school system as a social worker. I think my outstanding gift is the ability to develop rapport with students. I am an excellent listener, and have a great sense of humour. My creativeness allows me to change course, according to the requirements of the student. My methodology is based on the needs of the student and incorporates a multiple approach. The fee is based on the income of person/family and is between $20 and $50 per hour.
