About Travis
Adults seeking to reconnect with the keyboard after decades away form the core of my studio. I trained under a Peabody-pedagogue and maintain that exact lineage throughout my 13 years of teaching. My curriculum balances technical rigors like Czerny with the contemporary repertoire that students genuinely enjoy playing.
Results from my studio are consistent, as evidenced by 37 distinctions at Grade 8 and above on RCM exams. You deserve an instruction style that is measured, elegant, and highly motivating. This is a space where your history with the instrument is respected rather than judged.

How does it feel to finally sit at the bench and understand why your hands used to move the way they did? We focus on chord voicing, sight reading, and hand independence to bridge the gap between your memory and your current dexterity.
Dynamics, expression, and sight transposition become natural extensions of your existing musicality rather than chores to complete. Scales, arpeggios, and ear training provide the structural skeleton for the pieces you want to perform. My specific 6.0 method ensures that accompaniment skills and theory are woven into every minute of our time together. The process remains steady as we build your fluency again.
