About Toni
I qualified in 2002 and have had a lot of success with both classes and those I have tutored privately. I've enjoyed my career being in the classroom but feel that 1:1 tutoring or working with small groups is where I can have the best impact and really help. As a head of department I have developed a strong knowledge of exams, the curriculum, resources and revision strategies. I understand that in a large class, it can feel overwhelming to grasp certain concepts, but through tutoring I hope to help break down those barriers to learning.

I like to use a variety of methods, dependent upon the individual or group. I use a lot of online resources and interactive websites as well as books and paper resources. I like to include problem solving tasks as well as learning by method. I ask a lot of questions and encourage independent thought. It is important to bring in exam skills and questions into any work to give exposure to what exam boards expect, as well as the key vocabulary required.
