About Amira
Performing in Austin clubs taught me that music theory means nothing if you cannot keep the beat. I spent my early days trying to emulate complex solos before realizing that solid rhythm guitar is what actually keeps the band together.
After earning my Bachelor of Music in Popular Music at the University of Southern California, I realized my true preference is teaching beginners how to hold a groove. My approach focuses on practical strumming patterns and blues progressions that work in a live setting. I want to help you master tuning and maintenance along with ear training so you can actually hear what you are playing. Reading sheet music is secondary to feeling the song move through your hands.

10.0 is the baseline for the technical clarity I expect from my students during our initial diagnostic skills check. We start by seeing exactly where your hands are placed before building a lesson plan that makes sense for your goals.
This structure allows us to ignore unnecessary fluff and focus on your specific roadblocks. I want you to play songs that make you proud. My USC education informs my teaching but I prioritize your musical intuition above rigid academic standards.
It is about getting you stage ready for your own gig. I really enjoy helping you bridge the gap between practicing in your bedroom and playing for an audience. Sometimes you just need to turn the volume up and let it rip.
