About Malcolm
Holding a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Trinity College London, I maintain a disciplined approach to classical training. Music has defined my life since childhood. I have spent 5 years refining techniques for students aiming to excel in grade exams.
My instruction covers pedaling, sight playing, music theory, pop, contemporary styles, and accompaniment skills. Parents appreciate the monthly progress tracker I provide for every student to ensure complete transparency. The focus remains on building technical precision while preserving the enjoyment found in performance.

Your initial session begins with a comprehensive evaluation of current playing habits and technical baseline. 10.0 is the standard of excellence I expect from every candidate during our practice sessions.
We isolate tricky passages to ensure accuracy. Proper pedalling is introduced early to enhance sound quality.
Sight playing exercises are integrated to build fluency. Theory concepts are explained to demystify complex notation.
Pop arrangements provide a break from rigid classical structures. We document every technical milestone achieved during these focused hours. You will gain the competence required to perform confidently within a single term.
