About Yue
I graduated magna cum laude from RISD with a BFA in Apparel Design and a minor in East Asian Studies, ranking in the top 10% of my class and receiving the CFDA 2022 Scholarship. I was a teaching assistant throughout my time at RISD, supporting professors in the classroom and helping students build core skills. I also worked as a studio technician, overseeing industrial machinery in the fashion department and ensuring safe, efficient use by students.
I’ve since been accepted into Central Saint Martins’ Graduate Diploma Fashion program—the most competitive fashion program in the world—and was awarded a UAL Postgraduate Scholarship. Additionally, I completed the Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online. My RISD training covered foundational and advanced design skills, from drawing and spatial dynamics to CAD patternmaking, technical sewing, and fashion illustration.
My most recent employment was by a NASA contractor, where I constructed two xEMU spacesuit test articles and was recently approved for usage at the NASAc Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Since 2021, I’ve been tutoring students in portfolio development, visual storytelling, and art school admissions. I’ve helped students gain acceptance to top-tier programs including Cornell’s B.Arch, RISD undergrad, and Central Saint Martins MA Fashion at UAL. I tailor my approach to each student’s strengths, mindset, and medium—focusing on building a cohesive, concept-driven portfolio that feels true to who they are.
In our first session, I’d love to see where you’re at—what you’ve created so far, what level you’re working at, and what your goals are. From there, we can build a timeline together and set clear milestones toward future deadlines. Later, I can share my own admitted portfolios to RISD and CSM, and how undergraduate admissions can differ from postgraduate admissions.
