About Liam
I recently earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with Business Applications from the University of California, Riverside. My experience as a Supplemental Instruction Leader and student mentor taught me how to explain challenging material clearly, listen carefully, and adapt to different learning needs. I understand that students may feel frustrated or embarrassed when a concept does not immediately click, so I provide a patient, encouraging, and judgment-free environment. I come prepared, communicate clearly, and genuinely want every student to leave our lessons feeling more capable and confident.

My lessons focus on making math understandable rather than simply memorizing formulas. I explain concepts step by step, use examples connected to the student’s current coursework, and adjust my approach based on how they learn best. A typical lesson begins by identifying confusing areas, followed by guided practice and independent problems to build confidence. As a UC Riverside computer science graduate with experience mentoring and supporting students, I bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining a patient, encouraging environment. My lessons are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students seeking help with general math, pre-algebra, Algebra I and II, geometry, homework, or test preparation.
