About Christi
Graduating with a BM in Contemporary Music Performance from Berklee College of Music provided the foundation for my 12 years of studio teaching. I spent many years touring the country as a working musician before settling in Washington DC. This background means I share practical insights that you just cannot find in any textbook.
My style remains laid back and focused on getting results. I want to help you reach that target song you have always wanted to play well.

You will find that our time together feels like a casual jam session where the focus remains on making real progress. Drawing from my academic background and 9.0 rating in student satisfaction, I break down complex theory into manageable pieces for your specific guitar goals.
We transform your favorite song requests into simplified arrangements that make sense for your current skill level. You can expect to cover everything from strumming patterns and chord transitions to advanced lead guitar scales and modes.
Mastering fingerpicking or barre chords becomes much easier when we apply them to music you actually enjoy listening to. By blending technical exercises with actual repertoire, the work never feels like a chore. Playing music should be fun, and we make sure the process stays rewarding throughout our time.
