About Kathleen

Reading tabs, improvisation, and mastering chord transitions are the core skills I share with students. Playing rhythm guitar, scales, modes, and barre chords helps you understand the fretboard while we tackle power chords or ear training. My approach is simple because we learn songs to see exactly why they work.

I have spent 13 years teaching out of my studio in Nashville. You can expect a loose vibe that keeps things fun while staying focused on the music. I prefer to keep the technique stuff grounded in actual playing rather than dry exercises.

About the lesson

Try a free trial session to assess your starting level immediately. We grab the guitar and start playing right away.

You get a Berklee perspective on the songs you actually want to hear. My 13 years of studio teaching inform every single minute we spend together.

You avoid the snooze fest of traditional guitar lessons. We focus on modern styles from Hendrix to John Mayer. The goal remains having a blast while your hands get stronger.
