About Louis
I am an experienced musician with a passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge. As a professional continuo player, I engage with music theory daily in a practical, applied way, which has given me a clear and concise understanding of how music functions. I bring this practical perspective into my teaching, helping students understand not just the rules, but how they work in real musical contexts. I am an experienced teacher and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

I hold both undergraduate (BMus) and postgraduate (MA) degrees from the Royal Academy of Music and maintain an active international performing career. My professional experience ensures that my teaching is grounded in real musical practice, not just textbook theory.
Lessons are suitable for secondary school students, sixth formers, adult learners, conservatoire applicants, and university-level musicians seeking additional support. I teach students from a very beginner level through to advanced stages. ABRSM theory grades 1-8
