About Elliott
Having graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, I've been fortunate enough to have received outstanding and world-class teaching and it is my responsibility as a musician and music lover to pass on all of these qualities to the next generation of cellists.
I began teaching at the Sheffield Music Academy where I led workshops and gave chamber music coaching alongside individual lessons.

Every student will learn and develop at a different pace. Using a patient and sensitive approach, I aim to deliver thorough but fun lessons that are personalised to each individual, no matter what age and level. It is of upmost importance that every student should love and enjoy making music and my priority is to build and establish a passion for music in a way that is energetic and engaging. My method is to use the beauty of the music as a means for teaching the strong technical foundation required to express yourself freely, and I like to also focus on the mental aspects of playing such as nervousness and practice efficiency. My goal is to nurture and develop a musician who feels as engaged and comfortable on stage as they do in their own living room!
