About Tom
I studied Jazz Performance at the Royal Academy of Music and have since built a career as a professional jazz musician and educator. I have toured with a variety of jazz ensembles and continue to perform regularly.
In 2014, I was awarded European Young Jazz Artist of the Year as part of a piano trio, recognising my work as a performer and composer.
Alongside my performing career, I am Head of Jazz at an independent school in North London, where I lead jazz ensembles and teach students of a wide range of abilities.

I am a jazz guitarist and bassist based in North London, specialising in jazz improvisation, harmony, and composition. I teach students of all levels across a range of instruments, including guitar, bass, saxophone, trumpet, piano, and more.
Over the years, I have developed my own collection of jazz worksheets and exercises, designed to be adapted to each student's ability, goals, and musical interests. Whether you are just starting your jazz journey, looking to improvise with confidence, or wanting to deepen your understanding of jazz harmony and composition, lessons are tailored around your individual needs.
My approach focuses on building on your strengths while developing the areas that need attention, helping you become a more creative, confident, and independent musician.
