About Diana
Hello! My name is Diana, and I am a Russian-speaking mathematics tutor with over four years of teaching experience and more than 1500 hours of lessons behind me.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Software and Information Systems and have worked with students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles. Throughout my teaching journey, I have helped students improve their grades, prepare for important exams, and, most importantly, gain confidence in mathematics.
Beyond academics, I have a background in student theater and have led a dance group at university. These experiences taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt to different personalities, and create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I have experience working with students who require a more individualized approach, including children with dyslexia and learners who find mathematics particularly challenging. I am not intimidated by students who have fallen behind or lost confidence in their abilities. In fact, helping struggling students discover that they are capable of success is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
One of my students improved from a failing grade to a strong pass within just one month of focused preparation. Experiences like this have shown me that with patience, the right approach, and consistent support, every student can make meaningful progress.
My goal is not only to teach mathematics but also to help students develop problem-solving skills, independence, and confidence that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.

I believe that mathematics is like a great play. Every topic is a new act, every problem is part of the plot, and every student is an important character. In a good play, there are no unnecessary roles: every character contributes something unique to the story. Learning mathematics works the same way. Every student has their own strengths, pace, and way of thinking, and my goal is to help them discover and develop them.
As a tutor, I focus on understanding rather than memorization. I encourage students to ask questions, explore different ways of solving problems, and build confidence in their own abilities. Mistakes are not failures—they are simply part of the rehearsal process before a successful performance.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material and any questions the student may have. We then work on new concepts through clear explanations, visual examples, and guided practice. As the lesson progresses, students gradually take a more active role and solve problems independently, allowing them to gain confidence and truly understand the material.
I am a Russian-speaking mathematics tutor with over four years of teaching experience and more than 1500 hours of tutoring practice. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Software and Information Systems, which has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, logical thinking, and problem-solving. I work with students of different ages, backgrounds, and learning styles, adapting each lesson to their individual needs and goals. No two characters in a play are exactly the same, and I believe the same is true for teaching.
Whether you are looking for homework support, exam preparation, help with difficult topics, or simply a more enjoyable way to learn mathematics, I will be happy to help you find your role in the theatre of mathematics.

Diana worked with my niece and helped her tremendously — the progress was truly amazing. What I appreciated most as a family member was her incredibly soft, comfortable, and gentle teaching style, with absolutely no pressure. She created such a safe and warm atmosphere that my niece stopped being afraid of making mistakes and really opened up. I strongly recommend Diana to anyone looking for a kind, patient, and highly effective tutor.
