My Approach as an English Tutor
I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each individual's goals, learning style, and pace. My approach is patient, encouraging, and interactive, creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. I focus on building both understanding and confidence, ensuring students develop skills they can apply independently.
Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching combines clear explanations with guided practice and constructive feedback. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and use real-world examples to make lessons engaging and relevant. Depending on the student's needs, I incorporate reading comprehension, grammar exercises, vocabulary development, writing practice, speaking activities, and exam-style questions. I also encourage active participation through discussion and problem-solving rather than passive memorization.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material and any questions the student may have. We then introduce a new concept or skill, followed by guided practice where we work through examples together. Next, the student applies what they've learned through independent exercises, writing tasks, or discussion while I provide feedback and clarification. At the end of each session, we summarize the key takeaways and set goals or practice activities to reinforce learning before the next lesson.
