About Michelle

I scored a near perfect score on the SAT in high school and 800/800s on the SAT II subject tests after that. I was accepted to UC Berkeley early and chose to attend UCLA on an achievement scholarship. I graduated from UCLA summa cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors.

I have been tutoring for 11 years. I adapt to each student's learning style to ensure that the concepts we are learning make sense. I offer guidance on applying to colleges, getting into your dream school, picking your major, school-life balance and so on.

About the lesson

The SAT is unlike any subjects that we learn in school. It is a subject all on it's own that can be mastered if you invest the time and effort into preparing.

I studied for the SAT intensely in high school and increased my score by several hundred points. I scored a 2350/2400 on the SAT overall and an 800/800 on the English portion. I would love to help you create a study plan and calendar based on when you take the test, what types of colleges you are applying to and your current SAT practice scores. I understand that your junior and senior years of high school are already busy enough, so I can help you come up with a plan that will work for your schedule and workload. (I studied for the SAT while taking IB classes and participating in sports after school).

It is a myth that people who do well on the SAT are simply good test takers. Any student can succeed in the SAT by utilizing specific strategies. I would love to walk you through these strategies step by step.
