About Kyle
I have been playing the saxophone since age 11 and have studied intensively with private teachers for over eight years. I consistently held first-chair positions in marching, concert, and jazz bands, participated in the All-Pacific Northwest Honour Band, and performed in college ensembles. I continue to play professionally, including on major TV productions. My teaching combines years of performance experience with a focus on core mechanics such as breathing, embouchure, and timbre, which are often overlooked but essential for developing a rich, confident sound. I aim to create a supportive and structured learning environment where students of all ages and levels can grow technically, expressively, and enjoyably.

Lessons are flexible in length, tailored to your goals — from focused 30-minute sessions to longer, in-depth practice guidance. I have over 16 years of saxophone experience, including 8+ years of private lessons, consistent first-chair roles in band, jazz, marching, and concert ensembles, participation in the All-Pacific Northwest Honour Band, college concert band, and professional performances including major TV shows. I teach all ages and levels. Beginners receive structured guidance to build solid technique, while intermediate and advanced players focus on tone, expression, and repertoire. Lessons combine practical exercises, personalised feedback, and repertoire tailored to your interests and skill level. Every session is focused, structured, and engaging, designed to help students develop a confident, expressive, and technically strong playing style.
