About the lesson

Hi! I’m Eric, a passionate and friendly Mandarin tutor who believes language should be lived, not memorized. My lessons are conversation-based, interactive, and tailored to each student’s interests — whether that's food, travel, music, or pop culture.

While my teaching style is relaxed and playful, I do structure lessons around HSK progression. So if you're studying for HSK or prefer a clear learning path, you're fully supported! We’ll build your vocabulary and sentence structures in a natural way, using the HSK framework as a guide — but always keeping things fun and practical.

A typical lesson starts with light conversation, then introduces key phrases and grammar in context, followed by lots of speaking practice through dialogue, role-play, or games. No boring memorization or pressure to be perfect — just a space where you can experiment, speak, and grow with confidence.

I especially love working with beginners and lower-intermediate learners who understand some Chinese but want to improve fluency and spontaneity in speaking. Whether you're learning for travel, culture, or exam goals, I’m here to help!
