About Elizabeth
I have a strong background in both technical and academic disciplines, blending hands-on experience with a deep understanding of science and engineering. In high school, I studied welding and maintained a 3.9 GPA while raising a child, graduating in the top 10 of my class. I competed in SkillsUSA technical math and academic games math competitions, further developing my problem-solving skills. I earned two associate degrees from Delta College—one in Science and one in Applied Science (Chemical Technology)—before attending Kettering University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a 3.5 GPA. My professional experience includes 3.5 years as a co-op at Duro-Last, where I was later hired full-time as an R&D Chemical Engineer, focusing on polymers in construction materials. My diverse experiences have shaped my practical and analytical approach to problem-solving, and I’m passionate about applying my knowledge to real-world challenges.

I teach the way I wish I had been taught—making complex topics clear, relatable, and engaging. My lessons focus on understanding, not memorization, so you’ll truly grasp the material. If you’ve ever struggled with confusing explanations, I’ll simplify things in a way that makes sense to you. Whether you need help mastering tough concepts or just a fresh approach, my goal is to make learning easier, more effective, and even enjoyable. Give my tutoring a try, and let’s work together to build your confidence and skills.
