About Jordan
I’m a friendly and experienced tutor with a strong academic background in science and mathematics. I graduated from the University of Oxford with a Masters in Biochemistry and have PGCE and QTS.
I have extensive experience tutoring students across a range of ages and abilities, supporting both their day-to-day learning and preparation for important examinations. I’ve worked with students from a variety of international and UK curricula and understand that every student learns differently.
I’m patient, approachable and encouraging, and I really enjoy helping students turn difficult topics into something they feel confident tackling. My aim is not only to help students achieve strong academic results, but also to develop the understanding and confidence they need to become more independent learners.
Whether a student needs ongoing academic support, help catching up, or focused exam preparation, I tailor my approach to their individual goals and learning style.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they are looking to build confidence, strengthen their understanding, improve their grades or prepare for important examinations.
I begin by identifying any gaps in understanding and establishing clear goals, then structure lessons around the areas where the student will benefit most. Sessions combine clear explanations, worked examples, guided practice and independent questions, with regular checks for understanding throughout.
I place a strong emphasis on helping students genuinely understand concepts rather than simply memorizing methods. For examination students, lessons also focus on past-paper practice, exam technique, interpreting questions and developing confident, well-structured answers.
I adapt my teaching style and pace to the individual student and aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Lessons can also be used for schoolwork, homework support, revision or preparation for upcoming assessments.
I teach Mathematics and Science across a range of ages and levels, including school support and examination preparation, with each lesson planned around the student’s curriculum, current level and academic goals.
