About Winfred

Are you a student looking for guidance through the complexities of high school and college science courses? Having supported students for 8 years, I understand exactly where learners get stuck and how to provide the right nudge to get them unstuck. My MS in Science Education from NYU informs the way I break down abstract concepts in chemistry and biology for honors students and homeschoolers alike.

I focus on making observation and measurement feel approachable rather than intimidating for my learners. You will find that my style is relaxed and hands-on, ensuring that complex physics basics become manageable tasks. I draw on my lengthy career to ensure every learner feels prepared and calm during our time together. My goal is to simplify data recording and the periodic table so that you can navigate your coursework with confidence.

Whether you are a pre-med student or a high schooler, I provide a clear path forward. You can expect a consistent and positive environment that keeps your scientific curiosity active throughout our sessions. This approach allows us to move at a pace that matches your unique learning speed.

Science should be a tactile process that you explore through real world applications rather than just dry textbooks. You will find that I prioritize a custom study plan that addresses your specific academic hurdles right from the start.

Since I have taught for 2 years, I know how to structure our time so we are flexible enough to pivot when a topic requires more attention. We might spend our time examining forces and motion through physical examples that clarify how the world around us functions. I use the methodology gained during my MS at NYU to explain states of matter in ways that actually stick for you. If you get confused by a biology concept, we simply pause and revisit the fundamentals until the logic clicks into place.

My lessons are meant to be a space where you feel comfortable asking any question that comes to mind. It is important that we maintain a steady rhythm that prevents you from feeling overwhelmed by the material.

We keep things steady by checking in on your progress with each session we complete. You will see that my focus stays on your understanding of the core concepts at hand. I hope that by the end of our work together you find yourself.
