About Robyn
Hello! I am excited to offer over 20 years of teaching experience to help you reach your educational goals in the science areas of Biology and Human Anatomy.
I am a graduate of Florida A&M University with a B.S. in Biology/Pre-Med. I obtained my M.S. from Georgia State University were I worked as a teachers assistant providing instruction in Human Anatomy labs while I worked on my degree. I went on to work as an adjunct professor of Human Anatomy at Georgia Perimeter College and Georgia State University for almost 15 years. I work primarily with Pre-nursing students who registered for Anatomy as a prerequisite to apply to their desired nursing programs. I also taught high school Biology under the Georgia department of education standards for 12 years. I was named teacher of the year while I taught the following subjects: 9th grade Biology, Human Anatomy, and AP Biology. My instruction in the area of Biology in the state of Georgia has consistently led to students performing in the top percentile of distinguished and proficient on the Biology End of Course exam.
My approach to teaching Biology and Anatomy is to always ensure students get the BIG PICTURE in order to understand microscopic relationships and organization concepts. I feel it is necessary to always check for student understand while teaching so that I can provide timely feedback on what students understand and adjust my instruction "real time" for the benefit of the students.
