About Nur
Hi, I'm a tutor with a genuine passion for science, and I studied a science-related field at the tertiary level. What drew me to tutoring was wanting to share that passion — helping students see Biology and Chemistry not as subjects to memorize for an exam, but as ways of understanding the world around them.
I've tutored students one-on-one before, and I especially enjoy the moment a concept finally "clicks" for a student who was previously struggling. That's what keeps me motivated as a tutor — helping students go from feeling lost to feeling capable and confident, especially heading into major exams like the N-Levels or O-Levels.

My teaching approach combines concept clarity with exam readiness. I start by making sure a student truly understands the underlying science — not just memorizing facts — because strong fundamentals make every topic afterward easier to grasp. Once the concepts are solid, we move into structured practice using past-year papers, focusing on exam technique, common mistakes, and how to answer application-based questions clearly and confidently.
Lessons are typically 2 hours long, which gives enough time to cover a topic thoroughly and work through practice questions in the same session without feeling rushed.
I hold a degree in a science-related field and have prior experience tutoring students one-on-one, helping them strengthen weak areas and build confidence heading into major exams.
These lessons are designed for Secondary 3 and 4 students preparing for GCE N-Level or O-Level Biology and Chemistry, including students who are struggling with the subject or aiming to push their grades higher.
