About Brittany
I am a stay at home mom with a Master of Public Health and a Master of Medical Science. I have been teaching and tutoring since I was in high school - over 15 years! I first taught at my local temple, helping students prepare for their bar mitzvahs. This was followed by private math and science tutoring. In college, I led discussion sections on public health topics and continued private tutoring in AP biology. During my graduate studies, I taught elementary students and ex-convicts (at different times) various topics in health. Since finishing my degrees, I volunteer taught health classes to young women in high school.

I like to teach each class based on the needs of the students. I prepare by reviewing the necessary topics to be covered and recall how I best learned these originally. I use as many visual aids as possible, and I love the variety of animations that can be viewed on the internet. It is much easier to understand cell transport or chemical reactions when you can watch a video of how these events occur! I also always leave space and time for questions, and if available, allow students to teach each other.
