About Devanand

Hello! My name is Devanand, and I am a Science tutor based in Kochi, Kerala. I offer online tutoring for students in Classes 5–8, helping them build a strong foundation in Science through clear explanations, engaging discussions, and a supportive learning environment.
As a recent Class 12 graduate with a strong interest in Biology and the Life Sciences, I understand the importance of making complex topics simple and relatable. My teaching style focuses on understanding concepts rather than memorizing facts. I use real-life examples, diagrams, visual learning techniques, and interactive sessions to make Science enjoyable and easy to grasp.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with younger students and explain topics in a way that matches their learning pace. I teach in both English and Malayalam, allowing students to learn comfortably and confidently. Whether a student needs help with homework, exam preparation, revision, or simply wants to improve their understanding of Science, I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning experience.
My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to develop curiosity, confidence, and a genuine interest in Science.

About the lesson

I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match their pace, strengths, and learning preferences. Rather than focusing only on memorization, I help students understand the "why" behind concepts, making Science easier to remember and apply.

My lessons are interactive and student-centered. I use real-life examples, visual explanations, diagrams, quizzes, and simple activities to make topics more engaging. For example, instead of just teaching a chapter from a textbook, I connect concepts to things students see in their everyday lives, helping them understand how Science works in the real world.

I also use active learning techniques where students are encouraged to ask questions, explain concepts in their own words, and solve problems independently. This builds confidence and improves critical thinking skills. To keep sessions interesting, I include quick revision games, memory tricks, and challenge questions that make learning feel less like studying and more like discovering something new.

With a Gen Z-friendly approach, my classes are relaxed, encouraging, and free from the fear of making mistakes. Think of it as learning Science with a mentor rather than sitting through another boring lecture.

Most importantly, I regularly check a student's understanding throughout the lesson and adjust my teaching methods whenever needed. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, stay curious, and genuinely enjoy learning Science.
