About Laura
I have been teaching science for 10 years to pupils aged 11-16, my specialism is biology although I have taught chemistry and physics to GCSE level as well. I have also taught GCSE & KS3 maths. I have worked in a special needs school as a science teacher for the last 3 years and have undergone extensive training in how to support pupil science with ASD.

I like to make teaching relevant to pupils interests. The great thing about science is that it is relatable and I believe that it helps to give context to the topics that I am teaching. I also like to incorporate practical aspects into science learning as I believe that experiencing something is one of the most effective tools for learning.
