About Mariam

I am a Science teacher with a physics specialism and I love my subject ! I am passionate about inspiring others to love it as much as I do. The main thing I aim for when teaching is to improve students confidence with the subject so that it becomes more accessible to them and more enjoyable.

About the lesson

From my experiences as a classroom teacher as well as a tutor I've learnt that the best way to help a student learn is to tailor your lessons to them. By this I mean understanding how a student learns and using this to plan your sessions. I always speak with my tutees to gain an understanding as to what they want to get out of their sessions and make a plan tailored to them. In the first 30 min session, I will try to get an understanding of how the student learns as well as what they wish to gain from tuition. Depending on the students needs my lessons are always from 1-2 hours long. The age range I teach is from 11-18.

Mariam is a very good tutor. She is very experienced and my daughter felt immediately very comfortable with her. She knows her subjects very well and is great at communicating promptly.
