About Troy
I am an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker. I have taught screenwriting, media writing, and filmmaking at the university level for over 22 years at institutions including University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
I have produced numerous films, commercials, and promotional videos, along with developing scripts in feature film, series, and 360 Immersive formats. I am currently developing my first web series and have started to explore storytelling for holographic media, so I always include emerging media in my instruction.
I am passionate about supporting my students and their creative and project development as I want to help to make their work more authentic and successful!

My teaching method is to discover your goals and to help you take major steps in reaching them. I have taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced students, so even if you have very little experience, I can help you.
I will help you make your work authentic, engaging, and truthful. We can discuss both writing and filmmaking techniques or focus on one area.
