About Don
Computer & Network Administration: Provided management functions and technical support for 200 DOS and Windows workstations, Printers and print servers on a Novell platform. Implemented end-user acceptance testing for software and hardware components. Provided administrative implementation and support for company internet and email applications. Assisted outside contracts with network planning and design to include equipment installation, training and technical support. Purchased and maintained company inventory for several thousands of dollars worth of equipment and supplies.
United State Air Force - Air Transportation Specialist | Computer Operations
Performed and managed air transportation activities. Planned, scheduled and processed eligible passengers and cargo for air movement. Prepared and maintained air movement records and reports. Performed aircraft cleaning services and delivered meals and comfort item supplies to aircraft. Utilized computer systems to provide in-transit visibility over passenger and cargo movement operations. Responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of a Honeywell DPS-6 mainframe computer and end user desktop computer systems. Regularly provided confidential systems and operation reports to Military Commanders. Assisted with computer system upgrade from a Honeywell DPS-6 mainframe to a PC based networking system throughout the entire 436th Arial Port squadron. Authored the first “Computer Operations Manual”, and discovered and reported security holes in a newly deployed network operating system. Recognized as an “ideal Trainer” for newly assigned personnel.
