About William
Beginners often find themselves tangled in barre chords and transitions when they first pick up the guitar. I spent 13 years playing in bars and venues from Nashville to Austin, learning exactly what works when the lights go up and the room gets loud.
Having 13 years of teaching experience behind me, I understand the frustration of self-taught players who feel they have hit a plateau. I have worked with hundreds of students ranging from absolute novices to performers who need structure for their setlists.
My journey has been defined by practical, real-world application rather than abstract theory. I spent a decade gigging with just a guitar and a microphone, which taught me how to handle the spotlight. Whether you are returning to the instrument after a long break or aiming to sharpen your improvisation skills, I provide the roadmap you need.
My approach focuses on rhythm guitar, fingerpicking, and ear training to ensure you sound great in any environment. Struggling to find the right strumming patterns or improvisation flow is a very common issue for many guitarists. I keep things direct and focus on practical repertoire that you can actually use for weddings or hired gigs.
Because I am self-taught, I explain concepts in ways that are clear and accessible without using confusing jargon. I provide custom backing tracks so you can practice soloing at home until your technique is solid and consistent.
My 13 years of gigging experience allow me to demonstrate how to handle various performance scenarios with ease.
