About Travon
Open mic regulars in the South and Southwest once stopped me between sets to ask how I achieved my sound. That simple curiosity started a teaching path that now spans 13 years of helping teens and absolute beginners find their own voice. I spent years gigging as a singer-guitarist across small venues to refine my approach to rhythm and electric technique.
Providing structure to self-taught players is a core part of my work because I remember the frustration of not knowing the next step. I hold a BM in Popular Music from USC and enjoy helping performance-focused students connect with their audience. My style is practical, keeping things simple so you can focus on the music. I look forward to hearing the songs you want to play and turning those into reality for you.

Your first guitar session focuses on getting comfortable with the instrument in your hands. Exactly 100 percent of my teaching is built on the foundation of 13 years gigging as a singer-guitarist.
I take your favorite songs and break them down into simplified arrangements that match your skill level. We cover reading sheet music and blues progressions using the same methods I earned through my degree at USC. Play better. You will finish your first hour feeling like you have a clear plan for your next practice.
