About Elaine
I am a Sec 4 student in Collège Sainte-Marcelline, one of the best secondary schools in Montreal. I've earned school distinctions in Biology and Science & Technology, including an award in my school's engineering contest. I was an active member in my school's VEX robotics team as a builder and strategist.

I teach math and science from elementary to Sec 3, plus general homework help.
My lesson plan and teaching methodology:
I start by asking each student what feels hardest, then we break it down together step by step.
I use real-life examples (like robotics or everyday science) to make concepts stick.
I focus on active recall — having you explain things back to me instead of just listening.
A typical 60-minute lesson begins with a quick check-in and homework review, moves into a new concept with guided practice, then gives you time to solve problems on your own while I watch and help, ending with a summary of what to practice next.
What sets me apart:
I'm still a Sec 4 student myself. I just took these classes, so I remember exactly what feels confusing. I also bring proven academic results (school distinctions in Biology and Science & Technology, national math competition semi-finalist), and hands-on robotics experience from VEX competitions,
I am great with difficult kids, because of my 140 hours of volunteer work with kids at a day camp.

Without Elaine, my daughter would've never passed her math and science ministry exams, and gotten into the prestigious secondary school she currently attends. She shot from straight F's to straight A's. 10/10, I definitely recommend as a proud mama!
Thanks to this tutor, my math skills have improved immensely; they are incredibly patient, clear, and perfectly equipped to help anyone with any challenge. As someone who doesn't always grasp math on the first try, I've found that their teaching style helps me pick up new information much more quickly and easily.
