About Kristine
I am a second grade teacher in Westchester County New York. I have been in education for 32 years. I have taught second grade, third grade and kindergarten. I believe that all students can learn with patience and understanding. I am great at building relationships with students and then getting them to buy into the learning process.

I use many different methods to teach reading. I adjust all lessons to each student. After getting to know each student and seeing what their interests and skill level is I will create lessons based on that. I am trained in Fundations, multisensory, and use the Science of Reading methods to teach reading. I believe tht there is more than one way to accomplish the reading goals for each student and use games, predictable text, and consistency.
