About Aarja
I'm currently in my second year of Aeronautical Engineering, with a WAM of 75 after Year 1 and a score of 85 in MATH1A, so I have a strong, current grasp of calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and mechanics. I'm also fluent in English, backed by an IELTS score of 8.5/9 and an SAT score of 1470, so students can trust my command of both the technical and language side of what I teach. I have hands-on tutoring experience across Math, English, Physics, and Chemistry with Grade 6–10 students, and I also support first-year university students who are struggling with math or mechanics, having recently navigated that exact material myself.

I take a personalised, student-led approach to tutoring — starting by identifying exactly where a student is struggling, then building lessons around closing that gap using worked examples, practice problems, and real-world applications, especially in maths and physics. I break problems down step-by-step and encourage students to explain their reasoning back to me, so concepts stick rather than being memorised for a test. Lessons typically run 60–90 minutes depending on the student's age and topic.
I have hands-on tutoring experience across Maths, English, Physics, and Chemistry with Grade 6–10 students, and I also support first-year engineering students struggling with maths or mechanics.
