About Preet
I am currently a 2nd year Computer Science student at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). I successfully graduated high school with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) in 2024. Throughout my time in elementary school, middle school, and high school, I have always been passionate for and consistently excelled in mathematics, achieving grades in the 80-90s range. I also have prior experience in helping high school, middle school and elementary school students in a wide range of mathematical concepts throughout my academic career. I aspire to make math as fun and easy for others, as it has been for me.

My teaching methods reflect those adopted in the Ontario curriculum for mathematics, which I am well knowledgeable in. A typical lesson plan for a tutoring session would include 10-15 mins of teaching related to the concept/chapter the student is studying. This would be followed by practice problems, some of which I will do step-by-step with the student, and additional practice questions for the student to attempt by themselves. The lesson would end with 10 mins of reviewing the concept. Tutoring sessions can, and will be modified according to each student's needs/learning preferences. I am patient and have prior experience in helping students in math. I will ensure that any gaps in understanding are cleared through active efforts on my part. My lessons are tailored to any students in Grades 1-10 having trouble in math and want to improve their skills to reach a level of excellence.
