About Charlie
Hi, I’m a second-year Maths & Physics student at the University of Manchester, two subjects I’m deeply passionate about. From my own experience, I understand how challenging both maths and physics can feel at times. That’s why I tutor: to share the strategies and ways of thinking that helped me, and to support students in building confidence, achieving exam success, and developing genuine interest in these subjects. With strong A-level results in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, along with experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students across different exam boards, I bring both subject knowledge and a clear, patient teaching style. My lessons are structured yet flexible, and always adapted to each student’s individual needs to provide the most effective support. My goal is not only to help you reach higher grades, but also to show how rewarding and enjoyable these subjects can be once they start to click.

I’m a second-year Maths & Physics student at the University of Manchester offering tutoring in both subjects up to A-level. My lessons, typically one hour long, are tailored to each student and combine clear explanations that focus on helping build intuitive understanding with step-by-step problem-solving and exam-style practice. I have a strong academic background having achieved A* in both A-level Maths and Physics, as well as tutoring experience helping students prepare for GCSEs and A-levels across all exam boards. I tutor students aged 14–18 at any ability level, whether they need revision support, homework help, or focused exam preparation. Lessons can be held online, in person at my student home, or for £30 per hour I can travel to you; the standard rate is £25 per hour.
