About Sarah
I love learning new things and sharing my knowledge with others. I am excited to help you develop your confidence and build upon your understanding of STEM subjects in a fun and engaging way.
I am known as a patient and kind teacher who has a bright and bubbly personality. I am a straight A second year engineering student at the University of Auckland specialising in Mechatronics. Please feel free to ask me any questions about my studies as I am very passionate about my discipline.
I am passionate about developing young people’s confidence in STEM, especially young women, with my involvement in the Women in Engineering Network at University and Robogals, a volunteer organisation that introduces young people to robotics.

I tutor students in Level 1, 2 and 3 for Calculus, Statistics, Physics and Chemistry. I have excellent grades across the board with an 8.5 Gpa at University and consistent excellence at high school level.
However, I also understand the frustration of not finding teachers that always meet my learning style and I am incredibly grateful for supplementary support I got from tutors outside of the classroom that were more similar to me in age and could engage 1 on 1 with what I was struggling with.
I am very excited to be able to help students in a similar situation to me and develop relationships where students feel comfortable to share their strengths and weaknesses to give me feedback on their understanding during the lesson.
