About Hazar
I'm a passionate, hard-working, optimistic individual who loves trying new things. I have many hobbies, from reading to sewing and roller skating. I like to approach life with a can-do attitude, not letting doubt be the barrier to achieving my goals; this is the attitude that I hope I can instill in my students towards their learning.
My qualifications are excellence endorsed at level 1, 2 and 3, subject excellence endorsed in level 1 and 2 Math, Excellence endorsed in level 3 calculus, and Scholarship in Statistics.

I like to approach lessons by consulting the student in what teaching method they find the most useful and in what areas they have difficulty. I will then go through some practice questions to find further holes in their learning they may have not noticed and tackle them from there. There is no set blueprint to teaching, the pace and method must be continuously conformed to meet the students' needs throughout their learning; what may work one day, may not the next. I will combat this by experimenting with new methods of learning to see what works best, maybe through a quiz at the end, spontaneous questions throughout or even having the student explain a concept to me to assess their understanding.
Lesson length can be anywhere from one hour+, depending on the circumstance - if there is a test coming up, we may want to spend more time that day.
I have experience tutoring junior years, year 9 to 11, through my secondary school's peer tutoring program as well as a club I was a part of that coached juniors for their upcoming regional maths competition.
I am happy to tutor students up to year 12 in Mathematics and year 13 Calculus and Statistics.
