About Ben
I’m a 19 year old politics and international relations student at Exeter University. My study of politics and history began through my GCSEs, and my interest in these subjects has taken me through to higher education of the same topics. I’m enthusiastic to share my interests and love having the opportunity to help teach it to others, and I plan to enter into a teaching job after the completion of my studies. Through my time in sixth form, I was a head prefect who helped to induct new students into the school and served as a support point for them throughout their first year, as well as a leader in the army cadets who was responsible for the planning, organisations and teaching of weekly lessons and activities to students aged 13 to 16. I’m hoping to develop a good relationship with any prospective students so that I may not only help them learn the content they need for their exams, but also help to advise and guide them with any worries they may have around their exams or future further education.

I have a keen interest in my chosen subjects and a strong enthusiasm to share it with others. My course allows for flexible study hours, which gives me the freedom to study specific topics from GCSE and A-level courses myself so that I may tailor both my content and teaching style to the needs of a student. I would guide a student to retain a focus on their essay structure and writing, an aspect of humanities subjects that often limits students in how well they are able to show their grasp of the content, and ensure that they are able to maximise their performance in not just their studying, but especially within their assessments.
