About Adenike
Hello I'm Adenike, a qualified Mathematics teacher in North West London. I am qualified to teach up to GCSE level students and I have 5 years teaching experience in Ofsted rated Good secondary schools. I offer private tuition in Mathematics for 11-16 year olds. I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
I teach in line with National Curriculum GCSE 9-1 content whilst actively aiming to inspire the minds of my students. I use a range of activities and strategies both traditional and Mastery methods such as; accelerated past paper practise, the use of games and puzzles, visual representations of mathematical concepts as well as the use of technology by explaining examples using a scientific calculator and web based Maths programmes. This has enabled me to have an excellent track record of raising attainment with my students.
I recognise that different students have different ways of understanding different subjects. At the first instance, I will asses the specific level of the student and move on from there. My first goal is to help the student understand the basic concepts, develop his/her self confidence, and help him/her achieve the best results by focusing on his/her misunderstandings in order to solve as many problems as possible quickly and correctly.
I am willing to offer tuition from my home in Harlesden at £30 per hour. I am available on Wednesday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday.
