I have been teaching and offering grinds for the last 4 years and have done this with passion and dedication. I have always enjoyed helping others and seeing students have that 'lightbulb' moment where everything just clicks is what gives me the satisfaction of knowing I am in the right career.

Having studied maths and economics at undergrad, followed by a Professional Masters of Education in Maths, I am suitably qualified to offer maths grinds.
I have experience teaching higher and ordinary level Leaving Certificate maths as well as doing private grinds for over 20 students over the past 3 years.
These grinds would be suitable over the summer for students who are going into 5th year and want to get ahead at Higher Level by building a strong understanding of basic algebra skills which are an integral part of the Leaving Certificate course. Summer grinds are also ideal for students going into 6th year who want to get ahead of the course by covering new content to ensure they have sufficient revision time before the exams next June.
When delivering grinds I make it my focus to help students understand the 'why' behind the methods they are being taught to avoid rote learning and being unable to adapt to solving problems that aren't in a layout they are familiar with which is becoming more common in the Leaving Certificate exams. Making real world connections for students helps solidify this understanding and leads to stronger knowledge and mathematical ability.
