About Sehajdev Singh
My name is Sehajdev, I'm 23 years old and am in my fifth year of studying medicine at UCL (University College London). I love my course and the lessons that it teaches me on a daily basis; over the 5 (of 6) years, i have become increasingly more organised, driven and hard-working. Aside from studying medicine, I am very engaged with university-level sport. I have competed at the British University Taekwondo National competition for 5 years in a row, medalling multiple times and this year i have qualified for the British University Olympic Weightlifting Championships.
I have a unique insight into tutoring as my mum has tutored the core sciences very successfully for nearly a decade. Observing her passion for education, her commitment to each student and her thorough preparation before each lesson, I have understood the basics about this unique interaction.
At times it can be frustrating but with a child-centred approach, patience and fun, the result can be a child who is more confident about their subject and their approach to learning. During my two month long paediatric placement in hospital, many doctors observed that i was incredibly patient, amiable and easy to talk to; these are qualities that lend themselves greatly towards one-to-one tuition.
I was blessed to have been brought up in a home environment that was very conducive to excelling at both studies and sport. I would love to be able to give back and help other children progress in their studies; whatever level of ability they may currently be at.
Students are looking for high quality, engaging and comprehensive tuition, that compliments what the they are taught in school, consolidating their knowledge in a manner that is more direct than what can be achieved in a classroom setting.
