About Tom
I am a fully credentialed teacher in the state of California. I have credentials to teach multiple subjects and single subjects. In addition, I have a BCLAD certificate that allows me to teach in a Spanish/English bilingual environment. I have a BA in Social Science and an MA in Educational Administration. I have over 30 years of teaching experience, from elementary to high school. You are in good hands.

Spanish
Learning a new language is a challenge I hope you take. Spanish is a wonderful language, and the key to Hispanic culture. To learn the language, you need to speak it, read it and study it. I offer all the above in an encouraging atmosphere.
I take beginners and intermediate speakers.
A typical lesson starts with basic conversational skills--we simply talk. But don't worry! If you get lost, I'll be there to fill in the gaps. After some conversation, we'll deal with a reading in Spanish, then an analysis of what we read. Finally, I'll do some informal assessments to see how we did. Your success is my success!
