About Allan
I am a semi-retired teacher from the UK with over 30 years of teaching. The subject I teach is Primary school Maths, although I have taught up to and including A-level in the past. I produce hundreds of worksheets to enhance my teaching trying to explain topics in more depth. I am married to Kathleen for 18 years a nurse who is from South Africa. I love teaching and in my spare time gardening and computing.

My approach to teaching is finding what areas of the subject students are good at and concentrating on the topics students find difficult. I do this by testing each topic via a series of test papers. Curriculum learning via textbooks is not enough to gain a high standard of understanding in this subject, so verbal explanations along with worksheet explanations are used in my classes. I am a light-hearted teacher using humour and graphics to communicate my point. After all, it is the success of the student we seek.
