Hello! I’m Helen, a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for helping students achieve their full potential! I consider myself a warm, patient and well-organised individual, my lessons will always be supportive and aim at finding the best way to support the learners!

My lessons are personalised to suit each learner’s needs. With over 5 years of experience in SEN and education, I specialise in supporting a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, literacy and numeracy difficulties.
I use a structured approach and break down complicated tasks to help learners build up confidence. My techniques include scaffolding, modelling, multi-sensory teaching, guided practice and regular feedback.
A typical lesson usually lasts 60 minutes, though this is flexible depending on the learner’s needs. Lessons can be delivered online or in person (please contact me for further discussion).
My qualifications include a Master’s degree in Psychology of Education (University of Manchester), BSc Psychology (Lancaster University). Further CPD includes Level 3 Certificate in supporting learners with Dyslexia, Registered Behaviour Technician, certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and I am in the process of completing my Level 5 course on Teaching learners with Dyslexia.
