About Madi
I am a student at UC Berkeley and can prepare almost anyone for the academic rigor I once had to train for myself. Academia is meant to challenge you, it is literally the design of every property you find within it. The secret is, accepting this and learning how to deal with it in a way that can holistically improve your life (relaxing and not staying up all night to cram for a test) is how you succeed.

I can make learning fun! I know it sucks to struggle and even more so when you feel progress becoming stagnant. I will help you not only learn your material but also aid in helping you love it :)
My typical lesson plans are centering a scientifically backed methodical approach called active recall. We go over the material, I help you engage seriously and intimately with the concepts, I relate it back to something you find familiar to aid in easier recall later, and then I grill you on that same material.
I have used this method for years, and because of it I have a 4.0 at a school infamous for grade deflation. It works!!
What sets me apart from other tutors is the way I approach conceptual material. I study philosophy, which sounds niche at the outset, but it requires mass engagement with ideas of great thinkers and this kind of reflection bleeds into so many other areas of academia. I will help you be able to do this too. Learning to reason, think, and evaluate are essential to doing anything well.
I would also like to think of myself as pretty understanding! I love working with my specified age group and know that everyone has different needs. I offer more of a prescriptive approach, meaning I will do what I promised but in a way that will work long term for you.
